I hate shopping. I find it both physically and emotionally exhausting. I hate sifting through the racks of clothes, and I would rather be sitting on the couch in the comfort of my own home then undressing and redressing under harsh lights and full-length mirrors.
I avoid the mall like a plague, and 90% of the time I am either in my pajama's, or scrubs...and I basically use the same outfit for an entire week when I am forced to leave the house.
So how Jared and I ended up at the outlet mall on Sunday...I'm not sure. I think it had something to do with the fact that when we were out running errands on Saturday I told Jared I would rather drive out to Cabela's (40 minutes away) then set foot in Gander Mountain (which we were driving past). But the truth is- I just wanted to go home and never thought that we would actually drive out to Albertville that weekend.
It was a gorgeous day...and surprisingly a pretty successful shopping trip. I bought two items from Old Navy right away.
Then we stopped at a whole bunch of other stores, but were in and out pretty quickly once we realized there was nothing for us. Being quick was definitely key to this peaceful trip…usually I take my time to peruse since I don’t shop a lot and after one or two stores Jared looses his patience.
Then, just before I was able to call it a day we stopped by Ann Taylor and Jared actually picked out an outfit for me!
Not bad, right?! Now I just need a new pair of shoes, a trip to the salon, and a reason to wear it!!!
